Meet the Team

Andrew Bueno
andrew@foundationcrossfit.com
Head Trainer, Co-Owner, Jedi

"AB" trains to help others learn the way of The Force as well as preparing for the impending zombie invasion. He is an avid STAR WARS fan and uses said Force to gather the strength to power through WODs when possible. Andrew started CrossFitting in 2007 and was certified in the original Santa Cruz gym in 2008, but has been doing basic gymnastics and weightlifting since he can remember. AB is responsible for the programming and class curriculum. If something is off or is beyond incredible, please let him know!

Tony Lau
tony@foundationcrossfit.com
Owner/Manager, Rocket Scientist, The Management

TL is the enabler and visionary that has made "living the dream" a reality. As owner/manager/trainer at Foundation CrossFit, he has endeavored to create a positive reality for all of his athletes, trainers, and friends. His tagline of "I'll make you famous" has proved itself time and time again. Tony has been a disciple of AB since 2008 and was Level 1 certified in 2009, and continues in his quest to enable better living through fitness. His goal is to provide a viable resource of health and fitness to as many people as possible. View his athlete interview here. You'll see him dabbling around in the early mornings or late evenings, when he is not working in his many other jobs: rocket scientist/photographer/bartender. It's all part of the master plan.

Adam Wenzel
adam@foundationcrossfit.com
Trainer, Fight or Flight Specialist, Master of Disguise

"AW" is the first of ABʼs padawan learners (though the fanatic love of Star Wars didnʼt really transfer.) He uses his mutant ability to impersonate people and accents to get his points across while making classes as fun as possible. The only trainer to date who actually loves running, he naturally heads the FCF Running program. Adam has a powerful lust for eating and drinking, especially at barbeques. He also loves Krav Maga, parkour, gymnastics, beach volleyball, and badminton tournaments.  Above he is pictured with the actual scalp of Rod Stewart and the stash of Machete, both of which he took for himself. The $10 he holds in his hand was taken from Tom Cruise, whom he beat up 15 before the picture was taken. View his introduction here. Level 1 Certified in 2009 in Portland, OR.

Paolo Sanchez
pao@foundationcrossfit.com
Trainer, Media, Ninja

"Pao" is the early riser and an avid graphics guys (photography, videography, graphic design, staring at pretty ladies, etc). Using his ninja skills, he sneaks in photos of the athletes when they least expect it. He can bear crawl faster than a speeding bullet, can backsquat a locomotive and is able to leap tall boxes in a single bound. He loves oly lifts, climbing the rope upside down, and turns Super Saiyan 2 when the need arises in a WOD. A dragon gave him his Level 1 Certified in May 2010 somewhere in the mystical land of Renton.

Colin Bleckner
colin@foundationcrossfit.com
Trainer, Software Engineer, Snowboard Instructor

Colin has twice sworn that he would never spend another day of his life stuck behind a desk, yet somehow finds himself back in an office, working for an internet startup in San Francisco. Active in sports his entire life, he never enjoyed going to the gym until stumbling across CrossFit in early 2009. He's been hooked since, becoming Level I Certified in 2010. Colin has finally accepted the fact that he won't be a professional athlete and has readjusted his long term goals to include preparing for the Crossfit Games Masters Division (2030 or bust!) and hopefully some day being flexible enough to touch his toes tries touching his toes while stretching more often.

Blair Sutton
bcs@foundationcrossfit.com
Trainer, Neuroscientist, Master of Sleep

"BCS" splits her time between the laboratory and the lifting platform. When she isn't researching sleep she loves sporting stylish knee socks and lifting heavy weights. View her introduction here. She will gladly field any and all random science questions for the gym. Blair started CrossFitting in 2005 and was certified in Bellevue in 2011. Whenever you hear thunder just know that it's probably just Blair lifting on the platform.

Ryan "Rhino" O'Hern
Trainer, Girevek, "Long Hair Don't Care"

"Rhino" is a transplant from Chicago by way of NY. He loves the kettlebell, but not as much as he loves his wife Alexis and his newborn son CuChullain. Level 1 Certified.

Zeb Hoffman
zeb@foundationcrossfit.com
Trainer, Track & Field Athlete, Coffee Enthusiast

Zeb is a BIG dude- just ask his broken couch. He enjoys lifting heavy and throwing far. When he's not under a barbell or in the throwing circle, you can find him spending time with his wonderful and patient family. Within the next year he'll probably hold most (if not all) of the Master's Throwing Records here in the US. Zeb is a certified trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Level 1 Certified in September 2011.

Orin Fletcher
orin@foundationcrossfit.com
Trainer, Partial Android, Titanium Hips
