It’s important to value INTENSITY over VOLUME in the grand scheme of training. When you come across something fairly short in time (10:00 or less), then your goal is hard and fast. In the form of fitness that we try to build using the CrossFit methodology, we want to improve on ten general physical skills:

– Coordination

Balance is important as it demonstrates the control in the placement of the bodies center of gravity in relation to its support base. This is obviously important as we grow older, but it improves function and athleticism in sports and activities as well. Slack lining isn’t just for college kids! Try it out and feel the deep burn in the hips!

– We will be working on perfecting the two handed swing and increasing the weight of our swings.
– Lunges, presses and single leg deadlifts will be added to make sure we are still working with asymmetrical loads to build a strong core.

We’re going to max out the bench press again so if you missed Monday you get another chance. If you WERE here let’s look for a 3RM max or grab a board and see if you can go over 100% with a shorter range-of-motion.

We’ll also hit the deadlift! Make sure your hands are ready and your posterior chain is set.
